BODRUM-GOKOVA-BODRUM BLUE
CRUISE ITINERARY
Bodrum is Turkey's premiere
vacation town and the most popular point of departure for Blue Cruises.
In addition to the laid-back atmosphere and vivid nightlife of this international
resort town, other attractions include the Castle of St. Peter, which dates
back to the Crusades, and now houses a museum of underwater archeology,
the Mausoleum of Halicarnassos, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient
World built by King Mausolus, and an ancient Roman theater.
Bodrum-Gokova-Bodrum
blue cruise will allow you to explore Gokova Gulf, a deep-blue sheltered
stretch of sea sheltered to the north by the Bodrum Peninsula to the south
by the Datca Peninsula. During Bodrum-Gokova-Bodrum blue cruise, shore excursions
are optional and may sometimes require a small fee for overland transport,
guides or admission to archaeological sites.

BLUE CRUISE Day 1:
Boarding the yacht in Bodrum, we enjoy a
welcome drink. A short briefing from the captain ensures everyone is familiar
with the yacht and what we will do during the week to come. We settle in
and have dinner aboard, in the harbor.
BLUE CRUISE Day 2:
Our first cruise of the day takes us to Kara Island, just south of
Bodrum. Here, we swim, explore the rocky shores and test the waters of the
islands hot springs. After lunch, we cruise to the Southern side of the
Gulf of Gokova, arriving at Cati in the late afternoon. Dinner and
overnight in Cati.
BLUE CRUISE Day 3:
After breakfast, we depart for Yedi Adalari
(the Seven Islands), a cruise of just over one hour. Once tucked in
behind the islands, we find a quiet anchorage at Kufre Bay and take
a walk ashore through a forest of amber trees. This is the Turkey you have
dreamed about! There may be the chance of a barbecue dinner tonight.
BLUE CRUISE Day 4:
Morning swims will become part of your daily regime!
We cruise mid-morning to Longoz
Bay, our beautiful, pine-forested lunch stop. The next stop after Longoz
is Karacasogut,
a small village only 25 minutes from Marmaris. For those who wish to spend
a night out in Marmaris, a minibus service departs from the town centre.
Dinner and overnight in Karacasogut
BLUE CRUISE Day 5:
Today we cruise north east to Sedir Adasi
(Cleopatra island), the site of ancient
Cedrae. For those
who wish to explore
the ruins ashore and take a swim at Cleopatra beach (the sand was reputedly
brought here from Africa especially for Cleopatra), there is an option
to do just this. In the afternoon, we cruise to our overnight anchorage
on the eastern side of Degirmen Buku. This spot is known locally as English Harbor,
as British torpedo boats hid here during World War II. We spend much of
our time here swimming, snorkeling and windsurfing..
BLUE CRUISE Day 6: After
cruising the to the northern side of the gulf, we stop for lunch and a swim
at
Akbuk,
a small bay set at the foot of a huge mountain. Continuing our journey in
the afternoon, we arrive at our last stop for the day at Cokertme
Bay - another spectacular anchorage.
BLUE CRUISE Day 7:
A leisurely return to Bodrum, with swimming stops
at
Orak Island
and, both of which offer crystal clear waters. Tonight we enjoy a farewell
dinner together at the Bodrum Harbor.
BLUE CRUISE Day 8:
After having breakfast in Bodrum, you will leave the Gulet with best wishes
to see you again and a pleasant journey homeward.
